ednet 's video network service, based on a revolutionary
store and forward digital media delivery product family, the ClipMail
Pro and the ClipExpress from Telestream.
The ClipMail family are MPEG1 and MPEG2 appliances that record and play
back video and digital audio at quality levels from sub-VHS approval
to Digital Betacam master quality, sending and receiving the media over
inexpensive Internet connections, cross-town or across the oceans.
Meet the Family
The ClipMail Pro is the big brother. Featuring serial digital and analog
video and audio interfaces, the "Pro" is controlled either by a "space
age" hardware remote control that includes a high-resolution digital
video touch-screen display and stereo loudspeakers, or from Java application
or a web browser. This unit is the perfect appliance for a Post house
or high quality industrial site with SDI, digi-Beta, digital audio requirements.

The ClipExpress is the frugal little brother. Featuring only analog
video and audio interfaces, ClipMail Pro is controlled either by VCR-like
infrared remote control, or from Java application or a web browser.
Smaller lighter and less expensive than its big brother, ClipExpress
can record MPEG video up to 8 Mbits/sec and play back up to 18 Mbits/sec.
It is the perfect starter kit for a smaller Post house, or as an inexpensive
receive appliance to place at a client location.
Connect 'em Up
The ClipMail family communicates via standard Internet Protocol (IP)
and can function on either public or private network connections. The
LAN connection is Ethernet; WAN connections may be DSL, ISDN, T-1 or
frame relay, you name it.
