Pro-Link 64k Configuration
 

1. Starting at the main D Channel Active screen, press Set to access the menus. 2. Press 4 for the Set Line Configuration menu.


3. Press 2 for the Switch 56/64kbit modes option. Note that the current line speed setting is displayed in parentheses on the right.
4. Press 6 to select 64k operation. The unit should take you back to the previous screen with 64kbit displayed at the right.

5. Press Esc twice to return to the main screen. Note that it may be necessary to power cycle the Pro-Link to successfully complete calls.
Changing back to 56k
 
1. Follow steps 1 through 3 above.

2. Press 5 to select 56k operation. The unit should take you back to the previous screen with 56kbit displayed at the right. NB: Do not choose option 4 for 56k fixed.

3. Press Esc twice to return to the main screen. Note that it may be necessary to power cycle the Pro-Link to successfully complete calls.


A couple notes about 56 versus 64k on the APT:

    1. If a system set for 56 calls a system set for 64, it should work. However, if a system set for 64 calls a system set for 56, guaranteed problems will arise. 

    2. When doing two simultaneous sessions (dual destination) it is imperative that all three sites involved operate at the same line speed, either 56 or 64. Otherwise one side will be muted.

64k Configuration
 

1. Starting from the main Available screen, press E to access the menus.

2. Press the left arrow key once. The screen should read Setup Options: Configure TA.

3. Press E to access the TA configuration menu.

4. Press the right arrow key once. The screen should read Configure TA: Set ISDN rate.

5. Press E and the screen will display the current line speed (e.g. 56kbit/s).

  1. Pressing either arrow key will toggle between 56 and 64k. When the desired speed is displayed, press E to load it.
7. YouÕll be bumped back up to the Configure TA: Set ISDN rate screen, your new rate having been loaded.

8. Press the * key twice to return to the main Available screen. YouÕre now ready to operate at the newly selected line speed.
